title= Background: Following attendance at a NIFSA registration and training event in November 2018, we started Roe Valley Nature Kids the following summer. We run summer sessions, Saturdays, mid term break and also provided after school sessions in the grounds of a local primary School last Autumn.
Roe Valley Nature Kids is family run. We currently operate seasonally and close over the winter months.

title= Forest School setting: Our sessions are held on privately owned woodland, a 5 minute drive from Limavady town. The Nature Kids (up to 12 per group, ages 7 to 11) are looked after by Julie (Leader/ Manager) who has a social work and youth work background as well as basic outdoor qualifications, including required 1st Aid and Safeguarding qualifications. Julie has a number of years experience working with, supervising, planning and delivering sessions with children and young people. Lucinda supports the Nature Kids. She has Childcare (NVQ Level 3) and a number of years experience with children as a Behaviour Support Assistant. Lucinda also works as a massage therapist. We are both passionate about getting children into the outdoors and reconnecting with nature. We want to promote wellbeing and fitness through play in nature and aim to bridge the gap from screen time to green time. Activities can include den building, nature trails and nature crafts. Roe Valley Nature Kids is a member of NIFSA and was awarded a small grant from The Honourable Irish Society.
