Mayor Background: St. John’s PS is a maintained school with strong links to the local community, not least through Carnlough Community Nursery with which we share the campus. We believe that the school is a vital part of the diversity of the local community. We are firmly committed to:
1. The ethos of catholic education
2. Providing effective education for all our children;
3. Developing Positive, effective pastoral Care
4. Establishing close links with the home, other schools, external agencies and
   the wider community. St John's has a strong Eco-Council. The Forest School Programme was a natural progression for the school to make. St John's was successful in securing a Forest School Award in 2016/16 from Mid and East Antrim Council.

Whittling" Forest School setting: Cranny Falls is the setting for St John's Forest School. The public site offers a variety of habitat types - open grassland, hedgerows and of course the river and waterfall.
